Kathmandu

Kailash Mansarovar Yatra happens once in a lifetime. In Hinduism, the idea of spirituality drives the pilgrims to perform religious acts. In a similar way, Kailash Mansarovar Yatra has become an annual ritual for the pilgrims to seek the blessings of Lord Shiva. Mountains are always sanctified areas to perform meditation. It is believed in mythical ages, sages, hermits and even god took refuge to the mountains. Nirvana is a celebrated idea among the pilgrims to follow the path of celibacy. This mystic trek requires a complete faith to own self and the devoted god. Those who practice tantra are devoted completely to Lord Shiva. In Hinduism, he is believed to be the ultimate divine figure from whom cosmic energy starts. Kailash Mansarovar Yatra is a spiritual trek where one takes a leap of faith. Kailash Yatra is like a recognition of own self in the path of divinity. It is believed through the eyes of Lord Shiva, one rediscovers own self. In the path of penance, one has to endure hardship. In a similar way, for Kailash Yatra, one has to endure hardship for seeking the blessings of God. The mortal beings always show gratitude towards the ultimate divine strength. Kailash is the heavenly abode of Lord Shiva. Spirituality and religiosity keep everyone to climb up the mountains of Kailash.

There are pilgrims who are in constant search for inner peace. Very few can actually find the ultimate source of that inner peace. A complete balance between body and soul is needful to find inner peace. Kailash Yatra requires a complete devotion towards the god. Every year thousands of pilgrims travel to this spiritual space for its enthralling beauty. Many think why do we need to pay so much of wealth for Kailash Yatra? Nothing can replace the virtue of spirituality you will earn through Kailash Mansarovar Yatra. The parikrama means the complete evolution of own self into a new being. In Kailash Mansarovar Yatra there is the inclusion of two circumambulations. One is around Lake Mansarovar and the other is around Mt. Kailash. Besides the pious mountains of Kailash stands the pristine Lake Mansarovar. The ancient canon of mythological literature showed how this holy land becomes the source of ultimate energy of life. It is believed the axis of the world stands on Mt. Kailash. Due to the sacredness, the pilgrims want to reach this pristine land with a pure heart. One cleanses off the sins by taking a holy dip in the waters of the lake before taking parikrama around Mt. Kailash. The circumambulation means absolute salvation of life.

In a lifetime, very few get the opportunity to revive their journey following a righteous path. Kailash yatra actually guides these souls to the right direction of Lord. Mostly on auspicious days of full moon, the pilgrims take this journey to witness the divine madness of the natural beauty. Kailash Mansarovar Yatra stands out as the symbolism of purity. The followers of Jainism, Buddhism, and Bon Po travel to this spiritual land in search of liberating the souls. This majestic journey is for liberating souls from the shackles of sin and ignorance. The pilgrims aim to attain salvation. No one knows about the after death life. The pilgrims take this unforgettable journey for cleansing the sins of past and present life. One is in search of spiritual peace while taking this mystic journey. Mokshya follows the path of celibacy. It is not easily attainable. In a similar way, Kailash Mansarovar Yatra takes you through the path of spirituality to attain. We believe this pristine journey happens once in a lifetime, so we try to arrange the best resources for making your trip incredible in all respects.

Firstly one has to understand like another tour plan, it is not an adventure or trekking trip. It is the trip for which one awaits a lifetime. We act a medium of divine coordinator to take you to this saintly land by using our best resources.

Itinerary in Detail

Day 1: Kathmandu

NTP Staff  with your name play card will be waiting for you in the airport.  After check in at the hotel in Kathmandu we transfer you to Pasupatinath and Boudhanath, two world heritage sites in Kathmandu city among the 7. Your first sight of Kathmandu might not be very pleasant because of the long queue in the airport for visa as most of the people get visa on arrival we advise our guest to get visa from their home country.

Pasupatinath Temple- Pashupatinath is the biggest shrine of Lord Shiva in Nepal and is the most scared temple for Hindus all over the world. The present structure is not very old but the site of Pasupatinath has been holy since last 2000 years. The cremation site beside the temple is a unique site for visitors as you see the burning of the dead bodies is interesting but not a pleasant site. The holy men with all kinds of makeup and ashes all over the bodies are also central attraction besides the Pasupatinath temple and the Holy River Bagmati.

Boudhanath Stupa- Boudhanath Stupa is also known as the Little Tibet in Kathmandu as more than 50 thousand Tibetan refugees took refuge in Boudhanath area after the Chinese invasion of Tibet in 1949. This is a spiritual place with the two eyes of Buddha conveying the message of peace to you. Make sure you go through the Thanka painting galleries around the area to better understand the concept of Tibetan Buddhism and its practices.

Day 2: Kathmandu Nagarkot

You can decide the time to start the day after discussing with your city guide. We suggest starting sightseeing of Kathmandu before 9 so that you skip the busy traffic of Kathmandu.  We head towards the Kathmandu Durbar Square and Bhaktapur Durbar Square today.  A walk from Kathmandu Durbar Square to Thamel is interesting as it goes through the oldest settlement of the Kathmandu valley and has the local market with clothing’s, spices and groceries etc. After going through these old palace areas we head towards the hill station of Nagarkot for Sunset view.

Kathmandu Durbar Square – Kathmandu Durbar Square lies in the center of the Kathmandu valley and has some of the most interesting monuments in Nepal. The Kasthamandap, the building from which Kathmandu derived its name, the Kumari Ghar, the House of the Living goddess Kumari, the Taleju temple and the most interesting the Hanuman Dhoka Palace, now a museum are some of the interesting buildings in Kathmandu Durbar Square. Besides that the program of different kinds and gathering of people from all over Nepal makes it a lively place and the best place to understand Nepal.

Bhaktapur Durbar Square – Bhaktapur is on the eastern side of the Kathmandu city and is also referred as the city of Devotees and the fact is justified by hundreds of temples in the area. The home to the vibrant Newari culture, this is also the city of festivals. The 55 windows palace, the tallest pagoda in Nepal, the Pottery square and the museums in Bhaktapur has made it the best palace area in Nepal and also a must visit place in Nepal when you are here. The entrance fee 15 USD is a bit on the higher side but once you go in the Bhaktapur Durbar Square you will be happy for the price you have paid.

Nagarkot – Nagarkot is situated at 2100m from sea level and is famous for the sunset and sunrise view. It is 32 km away from Kathmandu city and is a one night destination for hikers and trekkers as well as people who love to see mountains from distance, from the hotel room or with a beer or coffee in hand. The drive is also very interesting as it winds through the swirling road from Bhaktapur. You can see the Langtang Lirung, Annapurna 2nd, Ganesh Himal range and also Everest on a very clear day

Best time to go for Kailash Mansarovar Yatra

Due to the extreme climatic conditions, it is favorable not to travel during the winters and the monsoons. From mid of May till October, the tourists find out the best climatic conditions to trek across the mountainous terrains. As it is a lifetime opportunity to travel in such an exquisite landscape location, then one should decide the perfect time of traveling. The astounding scenic beauty of the topography will make you fall in love with space.

Apart from this, the pilgrims prefer to take the journey during the ordained period of full moon. The silvery beam of moonlight will make Mt. Kailash more beautiful to witness.
