Day 1:Arrival at Kathmandu

After arriving at the Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu, our driver will pick you up for the hotel. You will be offered welcome drinks in the hotel. Our representative will brief you the entire tour itinerary. Then after a little introduction with each other, you will be served authentic veg food in the hotel. You will stay overnight in the capital city.

Day 2:Kathmandu to Pokhara

Early in the morning today you will be driving to Pokhara from the capital city of Kathmandu. Pokhara is the second populous city in Nepal. This city is the gateway for the trekkers to enter the Annapurna circuit. It is also known as the tourism capital of the country. For the adventure seekers, it is the paradise to explore. One can indulge in any adventure sports in the laps of the Himalayas. On your way to Pokhara, you will be visiting Manakamana temple. In this itinerary, we aim to provide you a spiritual tour. We want you to explore the deepest truth of spirituality through these divine powers.
Manakamana temple is located on the Gorkha district of Nepal. This temple is known as the sacred region for the Hindus. A divine manifestation of Devi Parvati called Bhagwati is worshipped in this sanctified temple. Built in the 17th century, this temple is believed to fulfill every wish of the devotee. The pilgrims appear in front of the goddess in the mere hope of fulfilling the desires. There is no direct way to the temple. This pagoda styled four stories temple is quite an amazing architecture to relish. The pilgrims have to board the cable car to visit the temple.
After then you will be driving to Pokhara. At night you will be staying in Pokhara.

Day 3:Pokhara to Jomsom and then Muktinath and return

Today you will be flying to Jomsom very early in the morning. From the airport, you will have to walk for 2minutes. This small village is located on the Himalayan laps. The tourists can access limited resources for its remote location. In this itinerary, Muktinath is added to Kailash Mansarovar Yatra for making the pilgrimage tour remarkable for the pilgrims. For Muktinath visit, you will be dropped near the village called Rani Pauwa. From Jomsom, you will have to drive for 2 hrs to reach this village.
Ranipauwa is located in Mustang district at an altitude of 3700m. This place is quite famous among the Buddhists and Hindu pilgrims. Other than pilgrims, the trekkers for Annapurna Circuit also access this particular route. Before crossing one of the highest pass, Thorong La Pass, Ranipauwa is the last accessible marketplace. After reaching this village, you will have to walk over the suspended bridge on Kali Gandaki River for 15-20minutes. Then you will enter the field of liberation ie. Mukti Kshetra. In both Hinduism and Buddhism, the idea of moksha is quite well celebrated. The pilgrims believe that by stepping into such religious place one can access the beauty of spirituality. On the holy sparkling water of Kali Gandaki, the pilgrims can find out the Shaligram Shila, a physical manifestation of Lord Vishnu. The Vaishnava sect considers this temple as one of Divya Desham devoted to the primary deity, Lord Vishnu. The Buddhists believe this place holy as Guru Padmasambhava meditated there on his way to Tibet. According to the religious thinker, it is a Shakti Peeth, where the forehead of Sati fell. The pilgrims take the shaligram stone back home as a symbolism of Lord Vishnu. Today you will be traveling back to Jomsom.

Day 4:Going back to Pokhara and finally Kathmandu

Today you will be traveling back to Pokhara. Today if you can recess time then you can explore the mystic landscape of Pokhara. Firstly you can visit Bindebashini temple. Venerated back in the 17th century, this temple is devoted to the war goddess Devi Durga, an incarnation of Parvati. In the inner sanctum of the temple, one will find saligram stone for worshipping purpose. Later you can go for Davis fall. The cascading water of the falls is one of the most visited tourist spots in Pokhara. In Nepali, this fall is called Patale Chango meaning the waterfall from the underworld. On the other side of the waterfall, there is a natural cave called Gupteshwar Cave. You will be amazed at the natural deposit of limestone all across the walls of the caves. Your sightseeing across Pokhara will be an amazing experience.
Post lunch you will be driving back to Kathmandu.

Have you imagined spending your evening listening to the enchanting chimes of prayer bells? Your evening visit to Pashupatinath temple will definitely allow you to enjoy the enticing view of the temple while offering prayers. Pashupatinath is the national deity of Nepal. The temple is located on the banks of river Bagmati. Under the list of UNESCO’s world heritage sites, this temple will completely surprise you with its wide sprawling collection of inscriptions, ashrams, temples, and images. In the evening you will not be allowed to visit. The evening aarti will be an amazing experience for you.
At night you will be staying at Kathmandu.

Day 5:Kathmandu sightseeing

The following morning you will be moving the Kathmandu valley and relish the beauty of architecture located around the city. It is one of the ancient cities of the world so the ruins of this old city will tempt you definitely to rediscover the beauty. After breakfast, you will start your day with the visit to Pashupatinath temple. On the last evening you would have seen the temple in the evening, today you will observe the astounding architecture engraved on the temple. This cultural heritage site stands on the banks of River Bagmati over the centuries. According to Shaivites, it is one of the holy abodes of Lord Shiva. Built on 5th century under the Licchavi King, Prachanda Dev, this temple attracts the pilgrims for its architectural significance. In the inner sanctum of the temple, the prime idol is of the shape of Mukhalinga made out of stone with a silvery bounded yoni along with the serpent. The idol has faces directing in four primary directions of the world holding the rudraksha on right hand and kamandalu on the other. Your temple visit will be accomplished with the visit of all the other temple complexes within the main temple. In the inner and outer courtyard, you will find different temples dedicated to different lords. This pagoda styled temple architecture with wooden carved rafters will be a visual delight to enjoy.
Next, you will be traveling to the temple of Budhanilkantha temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu. Located in the northern part of the capital city, this beautiful temple is placed below the Shivapuri hills. The largest stone carving Vishnu statue is the largest one. The relevance of the statue is for its marvelous stone carved sculpting skills. You will find the prime deity reclining on the cosmic serpent named Shesha. The crown of Kirtimukha has made the deity look more adorable. The statue was sculpted back in the 7th century under the reign of Vishnu Gupta.
In the evening you can stroll around the streets of Kathmandu for shopping purpose. Stay overnight at the capital city.

Day 06:Drive to Dhunche or Shyabru Besi

Today you will be driving to Dhunche or Shyabru Besi, the towns located near the Rasuwagadhi border. En route, you will be seeing the beautiful sights of nature. While traveling to mountainous roads, natural beauty is at its best. Nature unravels its splendid aura on you. While traveling across the mountains, altitude has been a constant object of concern. In this journey in the mountainous terrains, you will be enjoying nature very closely. You can be opportune enough to recognize sunset in the mountainous rugged roads. In Rasuwagadhi you will be waiting to clear your immigration formalities. The Kailash Mansarovar Yatra is a group departure journey mostly. It is advisable to complete the immigration procedures as a group in Rasuwagadhi border. Stay overnight at Rasuwagadhi.

Day 07:Drive to Kerung

Till last night you will be in your comfort zone. From today onwards you will be starting your journey towards Mt. Kailash. You will be driving towards Rasuwagadhi border. From here you will be getting Tibetan guides along with Tibetan vehicle to enter the Tibetan Autonomous Region. It will be quite exciting for the pilgrims to enjoy the significance of no man’s land. In this autonomous region, one can feel the world without any geographical boundaries. You will stay overnight at Kerung.

Day 08:Kerung to New Dongba via Saga

Today you will be driving to New Donga. Across the mountainous regions and green lush of plains, you will catch an incredible sight of mighty Brahmaputra. You will be driving via Saga. In the Tibetan language, it is known as happy land. As it is a border area, then you will find Chinese garrison patrolling across the border areas of Nepal and Tibet. On the way to Mt. Kailash, solo travelers and backpackers stay in these local motels. You will stay overnight at New Dongba.

Day 09:New Dongba to Lake Mansarovar

Today you will be seeing the sight of Lake Mansarovar for the first time. It is the highest freshwater lake in the world. While traveling to Mt. Kailash one has to cleanse the impurities of the soul. Kailash yatra requires a complete dedication of the mind and soul. Negativities and pessimistic ideas remain away from the souls of pilgrims during this yatra. By taking a dip in the holy water of Lake Mansarovar, one purifies the soul before taking the large sanctified journey of Mt. Kailash. Many pilgrims offer rituals addressing the souls of ancestors. For the first time, you will get a glimpse of Mt. Kailash for the first time. The reflection of gigantic mountains in the water of Lake Mansarovar is quite enticing. At night you will be staying near the monastery of Chui Gompa.

Day 10:Lake Mansarovar to Darchen

Today you will be taking bath in Lake Mansarovar for one more time before progressing towards Mt. Kailash. After taking bath, you will be driving to Darchen. On your way to Darchen, you can get the panoramic sight of Rakshas Taal. Earlier the pilgrims believed the Demon’s Lake as a negative source of energy. Due to mythological belief, it was the lake from where Ravana imbibed bad intentions in his mind. Darchen is the base camp for Mt. Kailash journey. You will stay the night in Darchen.

Day 11:Drive to Yam Dwar. Start Parikrama to Dhiraphuk

From today onwards you will be engaging in parikrama across Mt. Kailash. No one is allowed to climb high of Mt. Kailash due to its mythical and religious significance. You will be driving towards Yamdwar. From Darchen it is 10 km away taking an hour to reach. From Yamdwar, you will be trekking towards Dhiraphuk. The parikrama across Mt. Kailash covers 38km. you will be trekking towards Dhiraphuk on foot.
If you are physically not fit then you will have to take a pony. We carry our kitchen resources and camping logistics on yak or pony for the pilgrims of Kailash Mansarovar Yatra. After reaching there, you will get to view the beautiful and enormous sights of Mt. Kailash. Due to extreme weather conditions, you will have to take your food early.

Day 12:Trek from Dhiraphuk to Zuthulphuk via Dolma La Pass

Altitude: Zuthulphuk-4700m
Distance: 22kms (10hours)
Mode of Transport: trek

Today your trek will be starting after breakfast. From Dhiraphuk you will be trekking towards Zuthulphuk. On the way, you will be passing Gauri Kund. According to mythical folklore and religious scriptures, this lake is quite famous among the pilgrims. It is this very lake where goddess Parvati took bath and gave life to Lord Ganesh out of dirt and froth of her own body. So on the way to Kailash Parikrama, the pilgrims are obliged to get the sight of such auspicious lake. You will be trekking high till Dolma La Pass. This is the optimum height of the entire Kailash Mansarovar Yatra. By evening you will be trekking down to reach Zuthulphuk. At night you will be staying in a dormitory-style guesthouse.

Day 13:Trek to Darchen and drive to Dongba

Distance: Zuthulphuk to Darchen- 5kms (4-5hours)
Darchen to Dongpa: 53kms (2hours)
Mode of Transport: trek and then drive

Today is the last day of your parikrama. After completing the last stretch of your journey, you will be completing the most sacred trip of your life. Very few can secure such sanctified moment in life and feel own self so close to the god. By completing this journey, you will feel spiritually close to Lord Shiva. Today you will be trekking around 10kms till Darchen. You will need around 5hours to reach there. Our vehicles will be waiting on the other side of the trail. You will be completing your lunch near Darchen. From there you will be driving back to New Dongba completing the rest of parikrama of Lake Mansarovar. Today you will be staying in a guesthouse.

Drive Dongba to Kerung

Today you will be driving back to Kerung. You will be driving on the well-constructed road. The beauty of mountainous terrains will make you awe-inspiring continuously. You will be staying in Kerung for overnight.

Day 15:Kerung to Kathmandu via Rasuwagadhi

You reach the last stretch of your journey. Here you will be driving to Kathmandu via Rasuwagadhi border. In the border areas again you will have to complete your immigration formalities for further progress. Tonight you will be reaching the capital city with 7/8 hours.

  • Indian Pilgrims who are  70  Years or above:
  1. Has to submit Medical Report from Indian Government Hospital within 6 months before your journey starts.
  2. Two direct relatives required.
  3. Has to deposit 1000$(USD) before the journey to the company (China GOVT) for any sudden demise.
  4. Health examination is done before Parikrama by Chinese doctors. once you get the approval from doctor then only you can go for Parikrama.
  • Before the Kailash departures, must clear all remaining Payment.
Cancellation Policy:
  • Initial amount for booking is INR 20,000/- for Indians & USD 500 for NRI and Foreigners being non-refundable & nontransferable, once booked subsequently intended cancellations & delays caused due to natural, terrorist attack ,political or by the Pilgrim modification reason  If the booking is cancelled 30 days prior to departure, INR 30,000 for Indians & USD 600 for foreigners would be charged as cancellation amount.
  • If the booking is cancelled 20 days prior to departure, 50% of the tour cost will be into cancellation process.
  • If the booking is cancelled 15 days prior to departure, there will be no refund.

If suddenly program has changed Due to weather problem, natural disaster, landslide, technical problem and political movement, Chinese reason, all additional expenses should be paid by themselves

  • Insurance: Medical Insurance not compulsory for visa processing but will usefully you do insurance in case any health problem arises during travel.
  • Oxygen cylinder: Our Company will provide oxygen cylinder in emergency. Usually, oxygen cylinder is not required. However, some pilgrimage we prefer to carry their own handy oxygen cylinders. You may buy small portable cylinder in Tibet. It may cost approx. Yuan 20-30 per cylinder.

Travel tips for Kailash Mansarovar Yatra

Best time to go: It is between May to October. This is the perfect time frame for visiting Kailash Mansarovar. The average temperature in summer is around 15 to 30 degree Celsius. The winters fall down to minus degree temperature.

Minimum age: Due to its extreme rigorous landscape one has to start exercising 6 months prior to the journey. At such a high altitude one faces different kinds of health issues. One has to be between the ages of 18-70 years for this pilgrimage tour.

Total Distance covered: You will have to cover around 32km on foot. Due to its religious significance, Mt. Kailash has never been scaled. Local bus network: till Yamdwar our driver will drop you to carry out your further journey. From there onwards you will have to move forward mostly by foot.

Temperature: Due to its snow cladded mountains you will get cold weather all around the year. Summers are comparatively moderate in temperature but winters are literally cold. Mostly the pilgrims avoid such avoidable conditions for its extremities.

Basic Preparatory strategies

  • Start exercising at least 6 months prior to the journey. Either engages in swimming, running, cycling or jogging to keep you fit.
  • During the trekking you will have to carry your own luggage. For porters you will have to pay extra money. To avoid such adverse situation one should start trekking carrying different weights or backpack with little weights.
