Thousands of travelers believe Nepal as undoubtedly the best destination for trekking purpose located in Asia. As a landlocked country in Asia, it gives opportunities to the mountain lovers to explore the majority of adventures in the lap of mountains. Rather than looking at the peaks from distant it is better to look at those majestic snow-covered peaks closely. Unlike other strenuous treks, you will be expanding your foot across the beautiful villages of ethnic tribal people and rhododendron forests. Knowing about the ethnic communities during the trek will give you an overview of the diversities present in the land. This easy trek starts near Pokhara from the place called Nayapul. Among the tourists, Pokhara is commonly known as the tourism capital of the country for its beautiful mountainous trails. Mostly the trekkers explore these adventurous trekking trails from this point only. It is a wholesome experience for the trekkers to explore the beauty of nature along with the cultural lifestyle of Nepalese ethnic communities. The trekkers climb up to Poon hills to get a stunning panoramic view of some of the famous peaks of Nepal. It is a teahouse trek where one can get reliable accommodation in the local lodges located in the mountains. The enigmatic beauty of the Himalayas engrain in the minds of the trekkers. Unlike other arduous treks, one can easily hike to this beautiful hill crossing an accessible path. The difficulty level of Ghorepani Poon Hill trekking is comparatively easier. To complete a trekking one requires complete dedication. To gain success in trekking one needs to make a proper balance between mental and physical strength. One can reach Poon Hill following different routes but the best route starts from Ghorepani and ends at Poon Hill. The best time to go along this trail is between October and May.

Day 1Arrival in Kathmandu

After your arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, our driver will pick you from the airport to drop you at the hotel. The hotel executives will offer you warm hospitability. After checking into the hotel, the guide will give you an overview of the trekking route. In the evening you can stroll around the busy streets of Thamel. As a capital, you will get all the opportunities across the streets to explore. It is equally famous among foreign travelers for its gambling purpose. If you really want to try your luck in the casinos of Kathmandu then you must visit the narrow alleys of Thamel. At night you will stay in Kathmandu.

Day 2Fly to Pokhara and then trek till Tikhedhunga

Altitude: Pokhara- 1400m, Tikhedhunga-1480m
Distance: Kathmandu to Pokhara- 205km (1hr flight), Pokhara to Tikhedhunga- 9km(4hrs)

Early in the morning, you will be flying to Pokhara. It is widely famous among the tourists for its amazing trekking trails. It is the gateway to enter most of the lofty mountainous terrains. Your early morning flight will be equally amazing as you will get an opportunity to enjoy the surrounding high mountains. After landing on this beautiful city, you will be driving towards Nayapul. It is the starting point for this beautiful trek. You will be taking around 15minutes to cross the Modi Khola. The wild flow of the waters from this river will completely give you a breathtaking experience. From there you will be hiking to Birethanti. This small village is located at an elevation of 1100m, on the river valley of Modi Khola. Those who are traveling to Annapurna Base camp, they use this trekking trail to proceed. This small village is well connected with the surrounding villages by the cart driven by mules. You will also find small tea shops across the marketplace. From there you will be trekking towards the north to reach the banks of Bhurungdi Khola. The trekkers will be crossing the meeting points of these two rivers- Modi Khola and Bhurungdi Khola. On the way, you will be crossing some of the prominent villages like Hille, Sudame, Ramghai, and Tikhedhunga. With a gradual ascent, you will reach Magar Village. Your last stop is at Tikhedhunga. To complete the trek one requires at least 3-4 hrs. At night you will stay in Tikhedhunga.

Day 3Tikhedunga to Ghorepani

Altitude: Ghorepani-2874m
Distance: 12kms (7-8hrs)
Mode of transport: trekking

The following day you will get yourself ready after taking breakfast. Today you will be proceeding towards Ghorepani. As the name suggests earlier this place is used by the travelers for feeding water to their horses. Today you will be taking steep ascent towards Ulleri across the deep forests. One has to take around 3280 stone steps to reach Ulleri. From there the trekkers proceed towards another small village known as Banthanti. On the trekking trail, one will have to cross rhododendron forests, moss-covered paths, and conifer. Before reaching Poon Hill, one will have to cross Ghorepani Pass as well. This is the closest village to your endpoint. At night you will stay in Ghorepani.

Day 4Ghorepani to Poon Hill and then Tadapani

Altitude: Poon Hill-3210m, Tadapani-2630m
Distance: Ghorepani to Poon hill-1km (30-45mnts), Poon hill to Tadapani-704km (3-4hrs)
Mode of transport: trekking

Mostly the trekkers start their journeys to Poon Hill from Ghorepani only. It is noticed that from Naya Pul to Poon Hills one will make a steep ascent of 1670m. Every adventure seeker loves to climb up to Poon Hill because one can catch the glimpse of a panoramic view of the mountains. After enjoying the amazing sight of sunrise, you will enjoy the top view of the mountains surrounding you. You will be trekking across the rhododendron forests to reach Tadapani. One will take around 6hrs to complete the trek.

Day 5Tadapani to Ghandruk

Meal: B/L/D
Altitude: Ghandruk-2020m
Distance: 9.5km(5hrs)
Mode of transport: trekking

Today you will be reaching Ghandruk. This place is known as the Switzerland of Nepal. Today you do not have to rush much as you will be descending back to the plane lands. This place is quite famous for the settlement of ethnic tribal communities. One will have to take a stone cobbled wide path to cross the village. This small village is located at an elevation of 2000m. During this cultural tour, one must get into the varied cultural lifestyle. Very few get opportunities to explore the ethnic lifestyle of these people. One must enjoy such a lifestyle in the lap of nature. Staying in such weather will be overall exotic experience. At night stay in Ghandruk.

Day 6Ghandruk to Pokhara via Nayapul

Meal: B/L/D
Distance: 30kms (2hrs)
Mode of transport: private car

Today you reached the last stretch of your journey. You will be climbing down today covering mostly the dense forests of rhododendrons. You will be crossing the Nayapul to meet the driver on the other side of the bridge. From there you will be driving back to Pokhara.

Day 7 Departure
